The Psychic Powers Of Drugs - 1018 Words
This case raises questions concerning whether or not the use of humans claiming to have psychic powers to determine the location of where the manufacturing of drugs taking place constitutes a ââ¬Å"legalâ⬠search of whatever premises the psychic believes holds drugs. This use of psychics as a means to ââ¬Å"snuff out marijuanaâ⬠is a part of an F.B.I. and D.E.A. secret project that was just brought about to President Oââ¬â¢Bama. After leaving a meeting with the F.B.I., the psychic, Former U.S. Senator and current University of Oklahoma President, David DeBoren, suddenly has a ââ¬Å"psychic experienceâ⬠and begins speaking in tongues in the car while his interpreter is driving. There were no F.B.I. or D.E.A. agents in the car with the two men. DeBorenââ¬â¢s interpreter translates his words and recapitulates his episode, saying that inside the home of Bert McWert, a University of Oklahoma professor, there ââ¬Å"are approximately 50 trash bags of cannabis in the master bedroom.â⬠The F.B.I. and D.E.A. are granted a search warrant and the search of the home revealed 40 trash bags of cannabis.
